This month is all about celebrating love – with our partners, our friends and, of course, our dogs too. With the help of our charity partner Dogs Trust, we’re exploring the ways we can share our love with the dogs who are waiting for their forever homes.
THE PERFECT MATCH
As more people are impacted by the pandemic, Dogs Trust’s services are needed more than ever. Changes to daily routines could cause more dogs to develop behavioural issues, vet costs may put a strain on already-stretched finances and the rise of illegal puppy smuggling during lockdown means people may get more than they bargained for with their new puppy.
Dogs Trust are there to support and advise dog owners and have adapted their services so they can be there for every dog who needs them. The good news is that they have been able to continue rehoming dogs where possible by finding matches virtually and introducing the dogs to their new homes in ways that are both stress and contact-free.
Some dogs need to meet their new family before they go home, but with face-to-face appointments on hold, they’ll have to stay a little longer at their rehoming centres. By sharing our love and support, Dogs Trust can keep their vital services and care going, now and in the future.
SHARING THE LOVE
Tennis balls, a full belly and a forever home – this is what the dogs are hoping for this Valentine’s Day. Make sure they have everything they need by supporting Dogs Trust. Here’s three ways you can spread the love:
